The CWWK F8 is a fanless 4-port 2.5GbE firewall mini PC based on CWWK's Pioneer N-Series motherboard. It supports Intel N100, N150, Core i3-N305, and Core 3 N355 processors, four Intel i226-V 2.5GbE LAN ports, DDR5 memory, up to five NVMe SSDs, VESA mounting, optional 8010 fan installation, and a Large-Back aluminum chassis with a copper alloy heat conductive sheet, internal heat pipe, and three-sided cooling fins.

Intel N100, N150, N305 and N355 Processor Options

The F8 supports Intel N100, N150, Core i3-N305, and Core 3 N355 processor configurations. N100 and N150 provide low-power options for firewall, routing, VLAN, and VPN workloads, while N305 and N355 provide additional CPU resources for virtualization, containers, and multi-service home lab deployments.

N100 4 cores / 4 threads for OPNsense, pfSense, OpenWrt, routing, VLAN segmentation, VPN, and low-power networking.
N150 4 cores / 4 threads for firewall, routing, VPN, VLAN, and everyday multi-interface network services.
N305 8 cores / 8 threads for Proxmox, virtual firewalls, containers, VPN services, and heavier network workloads.
N355 8 cores / 8 threads for more demanding virtualization and multi-service home lab deployments.

Four Intel i226-V 2.5GbE Network Ports

Four Intel i226-V 2.5GbE LAN ports provide independent physical interfaces for WAN, LAN, VLANs, NAS systems, wireless access points, cameras, IoT devices, and isolated network segments.

4 × 2.5GbE Assign dedicated interfaces to WAN, LAN, NAS, access points, cameras, IoT devices, or independent lab networks.
Multi-WAN Configure multiple physical interfaces for separate upstream connections, failover, or independent gateway routes.
Network Segmentation Separate trusted devices, servers, guests, IoT equipment, and lab systems through physical ports or VLANs.

Pioneer Motherboard with PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe Expansion

The F8 uses CWWK's Pioneer N-Series motherboard with a dedicated NVME1 PCIe 3.0 x4 expansion path. NVME1 can connect to the separately sold NV4-E1 1V4 adapter board, dividing the x4 connection into four PCIe x1 channels for four M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs.

Up to 5 NVMe or 4 NVMe + SATA Storage Expansion

The F8 provides two NVMe storage paths. NVME1 uses PCIe 3.0 x4 with the separately sold NV4-E1 1V4 adapter board to support four M.2 2280 NVMe x1 SSDs. NVME2 provides one additional PCIe 3.0 x1 NVMe connection by converting the M.2 Wi-Fi E-Key interface to M-Key.

NVME1: 4 × NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 connects to the 1V4 adapter board and expands into four M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe x1 SSD positions.
NVME2: +1 NVMe The M.2 Wi-Fi E-Key interface can be converted to M-Key to provide one additional PCIe 3.0 x1 NVMe connection.
Flexible Storage Layout Configure up to five NVMe SSDs, or use four NVMe SSDs together with one SATA3.0 drive.
NVME2 and SATA3.0 cannot be used at the same time. To use the M.2 Wi-Fi interface for a Wi-Fi/BT module, remove the E-Key to M-Key storage adapter and install the wireless module instead.

Large-Back Chassis with Three-Sided Cooling Fins

155 × 135 × 65 mm
15.5 × 13.5 × 6.5 cm
6.10 × 5.31 × 2.56 in
Large-Back Chassis Fanless Three-Sided Fins Copper Alloy Sheet Internal Heat Pipe Dust-Resistant VESA Mounting

The F8 uses CWWK's Large-Back aluminum chassis, measuring 155 × 135 × 65 mm. The larger enclosure provides more physical volume and a broader external surface for passive heat dissipation than the more compact Pioneer chassis options.

Heat-dissipation fins are distributed across the top, left, and right sides of the enclosure. The three-sided fin structure works together with the internal heat-transfer components to increase the surface area available for fanless cooling.

Copper Alloy Heat Conductive Sheet and Internal Heat Pipe

The F8 combines a copper alloy heat conductive sheet, internal heat pipe, aluminum chassis, and three-sided cooling fins. The copper alloy structure conducts heat away from the processor area, while the heat pipe transfers thermal energy toward the larger enclosure surface for passive dissipation.

Copper Alloy Sheet High-efficiency copper alloy material helps conduct heat away from the processor area.
Internal Heat Pipe Transfers thermal energy from the internal heat source toward the surrounding aluminum chassis.
Larger Chassis Volume The Large-Back enclosure provides additional physical volume and a broader heat-dissipation surface.
Three-Sided Cooling Fins Top, left, and right-side fins increase the external surface area available for passive cooling.

8010 Fan and 2.5-Inch SATA Installation

The F8 operates as a fanless system but supports an optional 12V 4-pin 80 × 80 × 10 mm 8010 cooling fan when additional airflow is required. A 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD can also be installed when the system uses the 4-NVMe + SATA storage configuration.

VESA Mounting and Dust-Resistant Design

The F8 supports VESA mounting for installation behind compatible displays, on mounting plates, or in other supported locations. Its fanless aluminum enclosure also incorporates a dust-resistant structural design.

OPNsense, pfSense, OpenWrt and Proxmox Compatibility

The F8 supports OPNsense, pfSense, OpenWrt, Proxmox, Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, ESXi, Windows, and other compatible x86 operating systems. Its four 2.5GbE interfaces and flexible multi-NVMe architecture make it suitable for firewall routing, VLAN segmentation, VPN gateways, home labs, and virtualized network services.

Firewall & Routing Deploy OPNsense, pfSense, OpenWrt, VPN gateways, VLAN routing, and multi-interface network services.
Storage-Focused Home Lab Use multi-NVMe storage for virtual machines, containers, local services, and compact lab infrastructure.
Fanless Deployment Use the Large-Back enclosure, internal heat pipe, and three-sided cooling fins where passive operation is preferred.

Front and Rear I/O Connectivity

The F8 provides front and rear interfaces for networking, system installation, display output, USB peripherals, storage connectivity, and power. Four Intel i226-V 2.5GbE LAN ports provide the primary connectivity for firewall and routing deployments.
