The CWWK F14 is an 8-port 2.5GbE firewall mini PC based on an Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake U/P platform. It combines four onboard Intel i226-V 2.5GbE ports with four additional Intel i226-V ports through PCIe expansion, together with dual DDR5 memory slots, PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe storage and dual SATA connectivity.

The F14 shares its motherboard platform with the CWWK S4. The board provides four onboard Intel i226-V 2.5GbE ports, two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe slot, two SATA interfaces, a TF card slot and dedicated CPU_FAN and SYS_FAN connectors.

PCIe x8 Physical Slot with x4 Electrical Connection

The F14 motherboard uses a physical PCIe x8 expansion slot with an x4 electrical connection. This interface is used to connect the additional four-port Intel i226-V 2.5GbE network expansion adapter.

The connector is physically PCIe x8 but operates with x4 electrical connectivity. The PCIe generation of this expansion interface is not specified here.

CPU Heatsink and Turbo Fan Active Cooling

The F14 uses a dedicated CPU heatsink and turbo cooling fan to actively cool the processor. The fan is part of the CPU thermal assembly rather than the chassis itself.

The large chassis also supports an optional 12V 4-pin 80 × 80 × 10 mm 8010 fan for additional internal airflow when required.

The F14 uses CWWK's large aluminum chassis to accommodate the motherboard, PCIe network expansion adapter, CPU heatsink and turbo fan, storage devices and front and rear I/O assemblies.

The chassis does not use external cooling fins and does not support VESA mounting.

PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe and Dual SATA Storage

The F14 provides one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe slot together with two SATA interfaces. Both SATA ports can be used at the same time, giving the system flexible storage options for the operating system, virtual machines, logs and other network services.
